Events


We care about our community, because it's not only where we work; we live and play here. At bigg’s throughout the year, you can participate in events like our Taste of bigg’s, and Soul Food Cook Off.

bigg’s sponsors several events in the community also. Recently, we served as the Presenting Sponsor of the 2007 & 2008 Hispanic Fest in Cincinnati, OH. We’ve also enjoyed participation in events like The Black Family Reunion, Hyde Park Blast, The Art of Food at the Carnegie Museum, The Cincinnati Art Museum’s Taste of Duveneck & One World Wednesday, and many more.

Each of our stores also contribute a lot to the communities in which their located. If you’re interested in having bigg’s sponsor an event in your community, first contact the nearest store director in your area to inquire about our participation.

3rd Annual Soul Food Cookoff
Saturday, February 27th at bigg's Highland from 11am to 1pm.
Do you think your favorite recipe has enough soul in it to win? Enter your dish in one of the three (3) categories: Entrée, Side Dish or Dessert. See store for details.
To reserve a recipe spot in our Soul Food Cook-Off Contest call Charolette at 513-248-9300. Reservations will be made on a first come first serve basis.

Past Events

Chanukah Party at bigg's Highland
On Sunday, December 13th, bigg’s Highland Celebrated Chanukah with a party. Children  colored dreidels and spun a dreidel to win prizes. Customers enjoyed donuts, grape juice and cake. There was also the bigg’s prize wheel and a wine tasting. The event was highlighted by menorah lighting.



 

 

2nd Annual Soul Food Cook Off 2009- Recap
bigg's would like to say thank you to all that participated and attended the 2nd Annual Soul Food Cook Off located at bigg's Highland.

The judging was difficult, but we found our winners. A special thank you goes out to our celebrity judges; Chef Louis, Issac Curtis, Louis Breeden, Lincoln Ware and Michelle G. with bigg's. Congratulations to our Grand Prize Winner, Valerie A., with her amazing Candid Sweet Potatoes. Valerie recieved a Kitchen Aid Mixer along with a gift card worth $100.

 

 

 

Children's Hospital Walk
bigg's is proud to be a part of the Children's Hospital Walk took place on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Coney Island.
